Something's going to happen - the scandalous writer said only seconds before the bullets hit him down
Georgi Stoev - the writer, who startled the reading public with his shocking
disclosures about the underground and the shady ties between criminals and
public figures in Bulgaria, sensed his killers before they took him down.
"Something's going to happen," Stoev told his lawyer upon leaving
Kiara Cafe in Sofia, Bulgaria at 12:30 p.m. yesterday. After making a few steps he fell down dead.
The two killers shot him point blank by the sight of about ten children. One of
the bullets hit him in the head and another two were extracted from his body at
Sofia's Pirogov Emergency Institute, where medics struggled six hours to save
his life. Unfortunately, the writer died at 19:20 p.m. This was the second
shooting in Sofia in eighteen hours alone. Businessman Borislav Georgiev, one of
the closest associates of energy tycoon Hristo Kovachki, was shot dead in front
of his home in Sofia's district of Lyulin on Sunday evening.
